Spasms of Accommodation is an opthalmic condition where the muscles in the eye are constantly contracting, trying to make things more in focus than they really are. When my eye doctor told me I had Spasms of Accommodation it became a metaphor for my life. I have science degrees in physics and oceanography. I appreciate the balance of nature and I understand technology. But I cannot figure out why people do what they do. I gave up working on it in person. I am now a hermit in a tiny house in the longleaf woods of the Gulf Coastal Plain.
